Thousands join warning strike across six German seaports

Thousands of port workers have joined a 24-hour warning strike across six major German seaports as a wage dispute between trade union ver. di and port employers continues. The industrial action covers Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Bremen, Wilhelmshaven, Emden and Brake, following ver. di’s call for workers to increase pressure on employers during ongoing collective bargaining negotiations.
