RCL introduces congestion surcharge for Khor Fakkan shipments

Regional Container Lines (RCL) has introduced a Port Congestion Surcharge (PCS) for all import shipments bound for Khor Fakkan, United Arab Emirates. The carrier said vessel waiting times at the port now exceed seven days. These delays have increased operating costs and affected berth availability. RCL introduced the surcharge to offset the additional costs and maintain operational continuity across its liner services. Fincantieri and Viking sign contracts for two new cruise ships

Fincantieri and Viking have signed contracts for the construction of two new cruise ships , extending their long-standing shipbuilding partnership. The vessels will be built at Fincantieri’s Ancona shipyard in Italy and are scheduled for delivery in 2032 . The contracts follow Viking’s exercise of options announced in April 2025. The agreement remains subject to financing and other customary terms and conditions. New ships to accommodate 998 passengers The two vessels will be based on features of Viking ships previously built by Fincantieri in Italy.
