Portchain and X-Press Feeders partner to deploy digital solutions

Portchain and X-Press Feeders have announced a strategic partnership to deploy Portchain Connect across the feeder market, optimising berth alignment through real-time data exchange and enhancing Just-In-Time arrivals to improve operational efficiency and reduce fuel consumption and emissions. The collaboration marks a continued expansion of Portchain’s digital solutions into the feeder sector and reflects X-Press Feeders’ commitment to scaling digitalisation and sustainability across its operations. By providing a shared digital platform for berth planning decisions, the partnership will strengthen coordination between X-Press Feeders and terminal operators, enabling more accurate scheduling, reduced vessel waiting times and better alignment of operations with vessel schedules. Craig Halford, VP of Sales at Portchain, described feeders as crucial to the reliability of supply chains and the efficiency of terminals and ports, framing the X-Press Feeders partnership as a significant step in demonstrating the adaptability of Portchain’s solutions in the feeder market and their shared commitment to operational excellence and sustainability.
