Norcoast adds Rio de Janeiro to Brazilian cabotage service

Norcoast has added Rio de Janeiro to its Brazilian cabotage service, according to DynaLiners. Norcoast is a joint venture between Hapag-Lloyd and Norsul. The service is operated by two 3,500 TEU vessels . Following the addition of Rio de Janeiro, the service rotation is: Santos – Paranaguá – Itajaí – Salvador – Suape – Pecém – Manaus – Rio de Janeiro – Santos The new call expands the service’s coverage along the Brazilian coast. Rhenus and shipzero launch strategic partnership

The Rhenus Group and shipzero, a global emissions intelligence platform, have announced a strategic partnership enabling Rhenus customers to access a Book and Claim solution covering alternative fuels and battery-electric vehicles across air, ocean and road transport. The agreement responds to rising industry demand for credible, auditable emissions reduction instruments applicable to transport operations where companies have limited direct control over physical assets. As a multimodal logistics service provider reliant on external transport capacity, Rhenus has adopted the Book and Claim approach to address emissions in areas where it cannot directly influence the underlying transport assets. The model allows companies to support lower-emission transport solutions outside the physical supply chain of specific shipments, with climate benefits allocated through a verified accounting system. Through shipzero’s auditable platform, customers can book alternative fuel or battery-electric transport solutions on a single-shipment basis or through larger ongoing or retroactive agreements across Rhenus air, ocean and road operations.
