MSC revises cargo acceptance rules for Saudi Arabia

MSC has updated its cargo acceptance rules for shipments from Europe to Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf region. Under the latest arrangement, cargo discharged at Jeddah or King Abdullah Port (KAP) will only be accepted when its final destination is within Saudi Arabia. Therefore, shipments booked with Jeddah or KAP as the port of discharge must have a consignee located in Saudi Arabia. The measure applies to cargo moving from North Europe, the Mediterranean and the Black Sea. Gulf bookings remain open Despite the restriction, MSC continues to accept bookings from Europe to ports in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq and Oman.
