CMA CGM announces rate restoration initiative from the East Mediterranean to the US

CMA CGM will introduce a Rate Restoration Initiative (RRI) for shipments from the East Mediterranean region to the United States. The initiative will take effect on 1 September 2026. It will apply to tariff or service contract rates for cargo covered by the announced scope. Geographic scope The RRI will cover shipments from the following regions: Türkiye and Greece Black Sea ports in Ukraine, Georgia, Romania and Bulgaria Adriatic ports in Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro and Albania East Mediterranean ports in Lebanon, Malta and Syria North African ports in Tunisia, Libya and Algeria The destination scope includes the US East Coast, Gulf Coast and West Coast. It also covers inland destinations served through these ports.
