Maersk raises Middle East-Pakistan surcharge and updates European fuel fees

Maersk has announced several surcharge changes covering Middle East-Pakistan cargo and inland transport across parts of Europe. The carrier will increase its Emergency Contingency Surcharge (ECS) on dry cargo moving from the Middle East to Pakistan from 1 September 2026. Maersk has also updated its Intermodal Fuel Fees for Poland, Benelux and the DACH region. The new rates will apply from 17 to 31 August. Middle East-Pakistan surcharge increases Maersk will raise its ECS for dry cargo moving from several Middle Eastern countries to Pakistan.
