HJSC records surge in operating profit in first half of 2026

HJ Shipbuilding and Construction reported a strong earnings turnaround in the first half of 2026, with consolidated revenue of KRW 1. 2713 trillion, operating profit of KRW 89. 4 billion and net profit of KRW 88. 1 billion. Compared to the same period last year, which produced revenue of KRW 917.

Maersk removes equipment positioning charge for Zambia imports

Maersk has revised its Equipment Positioning Service – Import (Inland) charge for shipments to Zambia. The change applies to cargo originating worldwide and moving to Zambia. The revised tariff took effect on 16 August 2026 for both regulated and non-regulated countries. Charge reduced to zero Under the revision, Maersk has reduced the Equipment Positioning Service charge for 40-foot dry containers from US$940 to zero . The change applies to two delivery types: Container Delivery type Old rate New rate 40DRY Store Door US$940 US$0 40DRY Container Yard US$940 US$0 Therefore, the previous US$940 charge will no longer apply to the listed 40-foot dry container movements.
