Hapag-Lloyd updates dangerous goods surcharge to Jeddah

Hapag-Lloyd will update its Dangerous Goods Premium (DGP) for shipments from Europe to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The updated surcharge will take effect on 1 September 2026 and will remain in place until further notice. DGP set at US$1,000 per container The surcharge applies to cargo moving from North Europe and the Mediterranean Sea to Jeddah . Hapag-Lloyd will charge US$1,000 per container for all container types carrying dangerous goods. However, cargo classified under Dangerous Goods Classes 1 and 7 is excluded from the DGP.
