Northwest Seaport Alliance adds second electric forklift at Tacoma terminal

The Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA) has added a second battery-electric forklift at its East Blair One Terminal in Tacoma Harbor. The new forklift is part of the port group’s plan to reduce emissions from cargo operations. The project received US$2. 64 million from the Washington State Department of Transportation. The funding comes through its Port Electrification Grant Program.
