Drewry WCI rebounds after three-week decline

The Drewry World Container Index (WCI) increased after three consecutive weeks of decline. The benchmark rose by 1% to US$4,297 per 40-foot container. Higher Transpacific spot rates supported the increase. Transpacific rates increase Spot rates from Shanghai to New York rose by 4% to US$7,893 per 40-foot container. Meanwhile, Shanghai to Los Angeles rates increased by 3% to US$5,894 per 40-foot container.
