Diana Shipping and Star Bulk terminate deal for 16 Genco vessels

Diana Shipping and Star Bulk Carriers have mutually terminated an agreement covering the planned sale of 16 Genco Shipping & Trading vessels. The agreement would have seen Star Bulk acquire the vessels following the completion of Diana Shipping’s proposed takeover of Genco. Star Bulk requested the termination, according to a joint announcement from the two Greek shipping companies. However, Diana Shipping said its offer to acquire Genco remains in place. Diana Shipping maintains Genco acquisition offer Diana Shipping is currently Genco’s largest shareholder and is seeking to acquire all outstanding shares it does not already own.

Maersk reinstates Ashdod call on SLB service

Maersk will reinstate the Ashdod call on its SLB North Sea service following a period of operational stabilisation. The carrier introduced a temporary rotation adjustment earlier in 2026, replacing Ashdod with Haifa. With the return to the regular rotation, Maersk will now discontinue the temporary Haifa arrangement. First SLB call at Ashdod MAERSK IZMIR voyages 636S/638N will make the first reinstated call. Feds sue KLLM over alleged discrimination against female driver trainees

Federal regulators have sued national trucking company KLLM Transport Services and its driving academy, alleging companywide training policies discriminated against female truck driver trainees. The U. S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission announced the lawsuit Thursday against KLLM Transport Services LLC and subsidiary KLLM Driving Academy Inc. , which operates driver training academies in Lancaster, Texas, and Jackson, Mississippi.
