Cargo ship attacked in Bab el-Mandeb, three crew reportedly killed

A small cargo ship was attacked in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait on Tuesday, 11 August, with three crew members reportedly killed in the incident. The Tanzania-flagged Tihamah was targeted while sailing from Salalah, Oman, via Djibouti, according to Yemeni coast guard sources and government military officials cited by Reuters. The Yemeni sources attributed the attack to the Iran-aligned Houthis. However, the group had not claimed responsibility for the incident at the time of reporting. Two Pakistani nationals and one Indonesian national were reportedly killed in the attack.
