RoadOne expands Port of Charleston operations with acquisition

RoadOne IntermodaLogistics announced it has acquired Higgins Transport Service, a Charleston, South Carolina-based provider of port drayage and intermodal transportation services. The deal adds 15 drivers to RoadOne’s Charleston operations along with additional drayage and intermodal capacity to serve the Southeastern market. Financial terms of the transaction were not provided. RoadOne recently opened a 384,000-square-foot facility in Summerville, South Carolina to serve the Port of Charleston. The 100-acre property provides transloading, storage and distribution services across the Southeast.

Cavotec wins €5 million automated mooring order at JNPA

Cavotec has secured an order worth approximately €5 million to supply an automated mooring system at Jawaharlal Nehru Port in Mumbai. The project will mark the first deployment of automated mooring technology in India . Cavotec will deliver its MoorMaster NxG automated vacuum mooring system to the GTI terminal, operated by APM Terminals. Delivery is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027 . Automated mooring targets faster vessel turnaround The customer for the project is Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), which operates one of India’s largest container ports.
